Slapy Castle

FILM AND FOTOSHOOTING

Slapy Castle

Slapy Castle has played starring and background roles in several films and advertisements, but there are many new, original scenes and shots to be discovered and created here. The building is not furnished, so it is possible to use props as required, without risking damage to any historical exhibits.

The attractive interior comprises:

  • an entrance hall on the ground floor, with the original chandeliers and fireplace;
  • a ballroom on the first floor with French windows and a ceiling dotted with lamps;
  • a music room and dining room decorated with gold stucco;
  • a large kitchen with the original stove and dumbwaiter;
  • a study with library;
  • a large attic with the original roof structure;
  • cellars with several rooms, with a backdrop of prison cells and the original boiler;
  • and many other rooms linked by corridors and two generously-proportioned rooms with balconies.

Plans of individual floors:

In front of the castle, there is a park containing a small oval-shaped lake with a fountain, and behind it there is a forest park with varied vegetation and a small Baroque fountain. The grounds are enclosed by a stone wall on one side, and on the other by a Baroque farm building with a historical granary surmounted by a clock tower.

A large parking area, connection to the mains, drains and water, and heating in the winter months, are all available.

In addition to the castle grounds, we can also offer a wide range of exteriors for filming on the original Slapy estate. This includes an extensive forest, several ponds, meadows, fields and associated farm buildings, consisting of a former forest restaurant, gamekeeper’s lodge, hunting cabin, cottages, haylofts, barns, a former stables and also large industrial storehouses.

Sites available now also include the extensive grounds of the former sanatorium in Prosečnice, refurbished into an exclusive hotel and guest house.
